General Members Benefits
Upon becoming a member, all members will:
1. Support the organization, dedicated to the advancement of the Ayurvedic profession in Canada.
2. Participate in shaping the national policies that govern Ayurveda in Canada
3. Keep up-to-date on the latest developments in education, training and professional requirements for Ayurvedic Practitioners, as well as on legal and legislative updates, through CAMA communications
4. Be eligible to participate in CAMA committees and workgroups, to contribute to shaping the direction of the organizational and its membership benefits
5. Join with fellow practitioners in spreading the healing benefits of Ayurveda (e.g., Seminars in Ayurveda monthly webinars, access to online resources)
6. Receive a discounted registration fee for the CAMA Conferences
7. Receive a certificate of membership
8. Vote in elections for the office bearers.
9. Receive the CAMA e-newsletter featuring Ayurvedic news and updates, herbal monographs, research updates, Practitioner and Student perspectives, CAMA Committee news, articles and more to support our practice and knowledge.
Student Member Benefits
In addition to the benefits of General Membership, Student Members of CAMA will:
1. Be eligible to join the ‘CAMA Student’ Workgroup to participate in directing, scheduling and managing the Seminars in Ayurveda webinars; attend Student meetings at CAMA conferences; and submit written contributions for CAMA website and other communications
2. Serve as a student liaison to your Ayurvedic institution
3. Receive special Student Discounts at CAMA Conferences
4. Support CAMA social media development
5. Connect with fellow students who will become future Ayurvedic professionals.
6. Eligible to have the benefits of mentorship with Ayurvedic professionals approved by CAMA
Practitioner Membership Benefits
In addition to the benefits of General Membership, Practitioner Members of CAMA will:
1. Be eligible for listing in the CAMA online directory of Ayurvedic Practitioners. When CAMA is contacted about recommendations for practitioners, we refer to our online listing.
2. Attend and participate in Practitioner-only CAMA sponsored seminars and professional information-sharing symposia, such as ‘The Practitioner Forum’
3. Have input into CAMA discussions affecting Practitioners
4. Have recognition and Official Membership in a professional organization
5. Can Display the CAMA Professional Member logo on your business card, email, website, and other communications
6. Be eligible for a unique Practitioner Member’ general and professional liability insurance package tailored for Ayurvedic professionals ( Under process)
Organizational Member Benefits
Includes Corporate, Educational, and Affiliate Members
In addition to the benefits of General Membership, Organizational Members of CAMA will:
1. Be listed in the CAMA website as supporters, with a link to the organization’s website
2. Attend and participate in professional information-sharing symposia, such as the Practitioner
Forum
3. Vote in CAMA Board of Directors elections (1 vote per organization)
4. Receive one CAMA Conference fee discount
5. Receive discounted rates for CAMA Conference Attendee material’s package insert.
Annual Sponsor Benefits
In addition to the benefits of General Membership, Organizational Members of CAMA will:
1. Exhibit at the annual CAMA Conference, including multiple promotional benefits and perquisites
according to sponsorship level
2. Receive CAMA conference passes (number varies according to sponsorship level) plus 1
additional CAMA Conference fee discount
3. Be listed in the CAMA website as sponsors and supporters, with a link to the organization’s
website, logo, and organization description ( Subject to approval)
4. Be listed along with a web link in CAMA eNews electronic newsletter issues, sent to all CAMA members subject to availability of space and approval.
5. Receive complimentary CAMA Organizational Member status
6. Attend and participate in professional information-sharing symposia, such as the Practitioner Forum
7. Vote in CAMA Board of Directors elections (1 vote per organization).
