Vaidya Dr. Hemant Gupta, BAMS, MD (ayurveda)
Director, Consulting Ayurveda Physician, Teacher

Dr Gupta has over 30 years of teaching, clinical and research experience in India, Europe, and North America. and was director for ayurveda programmes at `The Raj', Fairfield, Iowa, M.A.H.C. in Lancaster, Massachusetts (premiere ayurveda and panchakarma centers). Dr Gupta has developed curriculum and taught undergraduate and PhD degree programs of Ayurveda at the College of Maharishi Vedic medicine at university in Fairfield, Iowa.

He has taught courses through Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Ayurveda academy of Canada in Toronto and several Yoga Institutions across Canada.

Dr Gupta is a visiting professor with Maharishi University of Management currently teaching in class/online undergraduate and Masters Ayurveda courses.

Dr Gupta has now settled in Ottawa and started Holistic Ayurveda Institute & Wellness Centre and as director is providing a full range of Ayurvedic Knowledge from free lectures and certification courses to clinical consultations and panchakarma (Rejuvenation treatments).

Vaidya Chandralekha, B.A.M.S

Chandralekha Anandavally is a licensed Ayurvedic doctor, has obtained Bachelor of Science from Karnatak University, Dharwad India and B.A.M.S degree from well  known Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore India.  After graduation she received a fellowship from the

renowned Vaidya Chandra Prakash Cancer Research Foundation, and served as a research associate in the same institute.

Vd.Chandralekha Anandavally is from Kerala, tropical glowing land on Southern cost of India known as ‘God’s own country’. Kerala is considered as the cradle of genuine Ayurveda, the place which literally never lost the continuity of growth of Ayurveda. As grown around the rich traditions of Ayurveda, she was passionate about Ayurveda from childhood and selected Ayurveda as her career.
Before migrating to Canada, she had her own practice in Mumbai, India.  Chandralekha has 15years experience successfully treated various health conditions, with both herbal remedies and panchakarma.  Vd.Chandra lives and practice in Sault Ste.Marie now and being a mother of two boys and a  home maker as well, believes that Ayurvedic principles are more and more important in this contemporary world and can help to attain total health for individual, family and society.

Vaidya Shanthi Balasubramaniam, B.A.M.S., RH
CAMA Secretary

With over 25 years of experience, Shanthi is the founder of Ajara Ayurvedic Wellness Center. She is an Ayurvedacharya from the University of Madras, India where she served both as a Professor and medical officer. Before moving to Canada, Shanthi was head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the renowned college for Ayurveda, Sri Jayendra saraswathi Ayurveda College, India.

She has been conducting lectures for students and the general public about the values of this ancient science. Her objective, while living and working in Toronto, has been to make a difference in the Holistic Health Care System by applying her education and professional wisdom.

 

Arvind Kamble PhD
Vedic Astrologer, Ayurveda Health Practitioner

Arvind Kamble has been studying and practicing Vedic Astrology and Palm Reading for the last 40 years under well-known masters in India and North America. He has completed 500 hours Ayurveda health practitioner certificate course in 2009. Recently he has started to offer consultations and introductory lectures on these subjects at Holistic Ayurveda Institute.

Vaidya Manish Trivedi, B.A.M.S

Manish Trivedi is Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and Surgery  from one of the premier university of India, university of poona, India.  he has also  Received Diploma in clinical research from New Delhi.

Manish has more then 15 years of working experiance as an Ayurvedic doctorin India and Canada.  Besides Ayurvedic practice,Manish has special  interest in yoga and pranayama and has conducted many worrkshops and seminars for Yoga practitoners and Ayurveda followers.

Manish is the founder of Atharva Ayurvedic Wellness Centre, Burlington.

From his childhood Manish was impressed  by the sages of India and has spent many days with them to learn their wisdome of healthy living, which he has always implimented in his practice.

Dr Shirish Nathwani   MBCh.B, FRCS, LMCC

Shirish Nathwani is a retired medical practitioner, originally from Gujarat (India), brought up in Kenya, and Educated in Scotland. He practiced as a Surgeon in Scotland and later in Kenya for a few years before moving to Newfoundland in 1972 in a multi-specialty Family Practice setting. He has been a longtime proponent of Ayurveda and has been a life-long student of Ayurveda. Since his retirement in 2005 and settling in the Waterloo region of Ontario, along with his wife Lata, he has been active in promoting healthy lifestyles and Samarpan Meditation.

HARI SHARMA, MD, DABIHM, FACN, DABP, FCAP, FRCPC

Dr. Sharma’s career represents a synthesis of the modern-day knowledge of Western medicine and the ancient knowledge of the natural, comprehensive Ayurvedic system of health care.

Dr. Sharma is Professor Emeritus and former Director of the Division of Cancer Prevention and Natural Products Research at The Ohio State University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine and the American Board of Pathology, a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a Fellow of the National Academy of Ayurveda in India, and a member of various national and international professional societies. Dr. Sharma is past Chair of the Integrated Medicine Committee of National AAPI (American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin).

He has published over 150 research articles and authored/coauthored five books related to Ayurveda, including Ayurvedic Healing and The Answer to Cancer. He is practicing Ayurveda at The Ohio State University Integrative Medicine.


Vaidya Jyothi Nanjundiah B.A.M.S., RH (AHA), Usui Reiki Level 3
Ayurvedic practitioner, Registered Herbalist

An Ayurvedacharya with over 28 yrs of experience, Vd. Jyothi graduated from Bangalore University ( India) in the year 1991. 

She started her career working as  a consultant for Baidyanath pharmacy in Vishakapatnam. Her husband’s work brought her to Chennai, where she served as a Medical officer at IMPCOPS, a semi-government pharmacy and therapy centre treating a wider range of diseases. She also worked as a lecturer at Venkataramana Ayurveda College in Chennai, teaching both History of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

After coming to Calgary in 2007, she had the wonderful opportunity to work as an Ayurvedic practitioner and teacher at Wild Rose College of Natural Healing and later on at Prema Sai.  This gave an awesome exposure not only Western herbalism but also other alternative modalities, and meeting great teachers as well.At the same time, She also got an opportunity to help design an entire Ayurveda Course for Wellness Within, Edmonton. Presently she offers her services out of her home based clinic along side Manages a Natural health food store.
